Used to go all the time when i was younger with my family we got to know one of the owners found he lived around the corner from us recently I went back for the first time since he retired and we got our food and seats super quick they have always been so good about that!!!
Great happy hour. 1st time here and the service was excellent, our server Linda was present when needed, but not over bearing. Nachos were a notch above average and drinks were great.
The place was BUSY as usual but service less than desirable...as usual. Their combo plates are very small and the prices are too high for what you get. They use way too much lettuce and the chimichangas are about the size of a child's burrito!! The bussers and others do far more than your waitress! This Ixtapa restaurant is in a crappy category all it's own! The best service I've ever consistently received at this particular place was an older woman who mostly runs the bar!
We ordered to go and it was ready before the 15 minutes they said. Sweet service and yummy food. Would highly recommend their fish Tacos!
I understand we came in a little before closing, an hour, but wow. Talk about the bums rush. We were her 3 minutes. One person served us water, one person served us soda, another served us chips and salsa. We joked "how many servers are we going to have?" That's great though, 3 minutes and all the prep is done. EXCEPT in the next 4 minutes 4 different people came up to us and asked if we were ready to order. I get that the employees want to clean up and go home right at closing, but the 2 of us came in an hour before closing. Mexican food is always fast. 2 elderly women were seated behind us. We both thought, "wow the employees are screwed. These women are going to take forever. Let's count how many times they're asked to order." 10 minutes later they have finally been asked for the first time. Maybe the employees have accepted fate that they're staying past 9:30. I could barely find my place again on the menu before I had to look up and acknowledge another server and tell them we're not ready. All that being said, I like this place. I've eaten here before. The food is good. I'm a big salsa person. Love the salsa here. Our food came to the table 24 min after walking in the door. We will be out before closing.
